Now, why is AK so important? To more experienced players like me, it is obvious – having AK instantly wins your round, even if the victory is purely moral.

When you know that, you probably ask yourself: “How do I AK?” You are lucky – just read this guide and you will know everything you need about the AK. Without further ado, let’s review all the AK situations in the game.

Imagine: it’s the beginning of a round. Remember that it is very important at that point to plan what you will do during that round. There are two options there: either you have an AK, or you don’t have an AK. If you have the AK, you don’t need to worry, just happily shout “AK” in the voice chat until you get kicked.

Now, if you don’t have AK, the situation is a bit worse. Remember that no victory is worth anything unless you have enjoyed the glory of AK, so during the buy period you should ask your team for AK.
Here’s some important phrases you need to learn:

• “AK“
• “DROP AK“
• “DROPNI KALASH” (notably, this phrase doesn’t mention the magic word AK but your team will understand)

The team wouldn’t listen? If you play on the T side, check your balance. Do you have at least $2700 (to check that, turn on your monitor and look to the right side of the screen)? If the answer is “yes”, just press your “quick buy AK” button (if you don’t have one, you really should learn to play before reading this) and enjoy your AK. If you play CT or you don’t have $2700, it’s obviously the team’s fault. You have asked for an AK and no one has listened. You might get sad, but remember that CS:GO is a team game. You will probably get kicked, but unfortunately there is nothing you can do about the matchmaking finding you bad teams.
The round has started, and you still have no AK? Being stuck with some inferior weapon like M4, Negev or Auto Sniper sucks, so you must redefine your main objective for the round: you must obtain the AK at any cost. Try running into the enemy directly if there’s even a slight possibility of them having an AK (remember that you’ll get faster to them if you equip a knife).

Now, someone else on your team has killed the guy with an AK you ran to at your full speed. Nice! Just run as fast as possible to his dead body and thoroughly look for AK on the ground. Once you find the AK, press the “Take Weapon” button and you’re all set! Just remember to enable the setting allowing you to automatically switch to AK when you pick up one (you shouldn’t pick up anything than AK or Glock anyway, and why wouldn’t you want to use your treasure?). The commando is cl_autowepswitch “1”.

If the round has ended and you don’t have an AK, you still have some time to get an AK. Does a teammate have an AK? Kill him before the start of the next round and take the AK. This way, you can play as 5 and thus have a better chance of obtaining even more AK’s.

Once you got the AK, the objective of finding an AK can feel quite pointless. Now, you should obviously redefine it. The enemies want an AK too, so start playing the ancient game of hide-and-seek. Run back to your spawn or to any location that you feel is the safest on the map. Your objective now is to survive at any cost and to take the AK with you to the next round. Remember that you can “Inspect” the AK while you sit at some obscure location and wait for the result of your votekick.

The last situation you can experience is the rounds where there is no AK on the map. An example is the first rounds of every half. Go get a glass of 1.5% fat milk while waiting for the round with some AK’s present, and blame Volvo and GabeN in the all chat for failing to meet the community’s AK needs. If you have some extra time, go to Reddit and complain about not being able to get an AK. If you’re afraid you might get downvoted for being right, include popular phrases like “Source 2 when???”, “Volvo ban cheaters” or “NA CS LUL” in your post to get some guaranteed internet points.
